Learn to identify various fresh herbs and spices used for a variety of dishes make spice mix and curry pastes that are used to make mouth watering curries street foods like curry puffs satays nasi goreng and desserts. Course fee includes ingredients and Alvin's family recipes. Tutor Profile Alvin Tan is an accomplished cook. He started his apprenticeship in Penang Malaysia and gradually worked his way up in various restaurants clubs and 5 star hotels. He migrated from Malaysia 18 years ago and has successfully operated two restaurants specialising in Malaysian cuisine.

Welcome to the world of herbs and spices. Make your very own curry pastes to suit your palette, like Thai Green Curry and Malaysian Rending. Learn to make fresh salads such as Vietnamese Mango Salad and Thai Papaya Salad, as well as stir fries and noodles. First night session includes techniques of cutting, introduction to herbs, spices and sauces and tasting of dishes. Bring $20 for first night.
