Astronomy for Beginners

This 6 week course introduces the night sky. Learn to navigate your way around the night sky using sky maps and the difference between stars and planets. We look at how the sky works why we see phases of the Moon how eclipses occur and we take a closer look at our Solar System. We also look at what telescope is right for you and some of the accessories that are available to enhance your views of the night sky. On the first night bring torch some red cellophane and an elastic band with you. Cafe hours 4.30pm - 7.30pm.
