Dog Training St George & Sutherland Community College

Designed to teach you how to have a well-behaved dog who you enjoy living with. The course covers basic obedience manners training walking nicely on lead preventing jumping coming back when called problem solving (eg digging chewing) basic trick training. Your dog must be over 16 weeks of age. First week is without your dog. Instructor is fully qualified and holds a Certificate IV in Dog Behavioural Training (Canine Good Citizen(tm) ). In Home Training one on one and Group Classes available. Courses aim to teach you how to have a well mannered dog. Basic obedience, common behaviour problem solutions, tricks and an intro to clicker training available. Learn to have fun with your dog whilst training. Positive methods used. APDT member.

Dog Training Basics Macarthur Community College

This course is aimed at teaching you how to achieve a well mannered dog. A dog with basic manners is an invaluable member of any family. The course covers basic obedience coming when called walking on lead calm greetings handling common problems (e.g. jumping digging and chewing) games at home basic tricks and an introduction to clicker training. The participants will be taught how to use positive training methods using verbal prompts and/or hand signals and apply this learning to everyday practical situations. NO choker chains. Dogs must be at least 6 months old and fully vaccinated (minimum C5). No bitches on heat or aggressive dogs permitted. Bring your dog on collar and lead with current vaccination certificate. Do not bring young children friends or relatives. Consecutive weeks from start date. Biehler Reserve is on the corner of Leumeah Road and Junction Road next to Leumeah High School. Dog Training Intermediate Macarthur Community College

This course is for owners and dogs that have completed the Dog Training Level 1 course. In this course we will build on our basic obedience cues walking comfortably on lead and coming when called. The areas we will develop include; hand signals duration distance cues and distraction. We will also cover basic target training; continue clicker training with more games and tricks. Bring your dog on collar and lead with current vaccination certificate. Do not bring young children friends or relatives. You must be 18 or over to enrol. Consecutive weeks from start date.
