(Apply Basic First Aid) Delivered under the Scope of Registration of Jordan's First Aid RTO ID 91328. This course covers the same subjects as the 2 day course however delivery includes a flexible learning component. Face to face delivery and practical components are completed in one day. Students receive a First Aid manual/workbook 7 days prior to the commencement of the course and must complete prior to attending. The one day face to face component includes lectures and practical sessions. Students must submit their completed workbook and must also pass a theoretical and practical exam to be awarded the HLTFA301B Apply First Aid Accreditation. The Surf Life Saving NSW course in Apply first aid HLTFA301B is approved by WorkCover (FA041510) and DoCS (for child care supervisors and primary care staff in child care centres). It delivers the essential principles skills and knowledge for you to manage emergency first aid situations until professional medical support is available. The course includes the principles of First Aid managing emergency situations CPR treatment of infection shock fractures bleeding and burns emergencies due to lack of oxygen excess heat or cold management of common medical emergencies treatment of poisoning and envenomation. Must be 15 or over to enrol in this course. Certificate is valid for 3 years and issued by Surf Life Saving NSW RTO 90394. The CPR component needs to be undertaken yearly. This flexible Senior First Aid course is ideal for busy people and consists of a 1 day workshop and a study manual/workbook. The manual and workbook are sent to you in the week prior to the workshop.
