NSW Central West
195-197 Clarinda St, PARKES
Just like a First Aid course, this 2 day course is suitable for many members of the community and workplaces. It is relevant to everyone because mental health problems are common; many people don't recognise mental health issues or know how to help. If people understood more about mental health problems it would help reduce the stigma and more people would be likely to seek and receive help early. The Mental Health First Aid Program (www.mhfa.com.au) has been found to be effective in improving mental health literacy, reducing stigma and increasing helping behaviours. Youth Mental Health First Aid Mental health problems covered by the youth course include similar topics to the adult course, but provide additional information on youth issues such as self harm and eating disorders. This course will increase your knowledge, skills and your confidence in being able to provide help to adolescents and young adults in the workplace, home and general community. This course is delivered by accredited Mental Health Fir
