Surf Skool offers a 4 Day x 1.5 hour Surfer experience course - giving you the skills and knowledge to get surfing safely and effectively. Ocean Aware City East Community College

First session held at Adult Education Centre. Increase your surf awareness and build your confidence in the surf environment this summer. Ocean Fun teaches basic surf skills and knowledge in a safe and fun environment – ensuring you have a great day at the beach. A mixture of wet and dry sessions cover two basic areas; surf education, such as identifying and managing dangers at the beach, and; surf sense, experimentation and skill development in the water. The first session takes place in a classroom and runs from 6.00 - 8.00pm.

Surf Camp Macarthur Community College

Learn to stand up and ride a wave within an hour at our two-day two-night weekend surf camp. Stay in modern beachside cabins at Seven Mile Beach National Park. This beach provides the ultimate environment to learn with safe easy and uncrowded surf conditions surrounded by a natural environment. Friendly instructors are experts at coaching absolute beginners. There will be two two-hour lessons each day. All equipment including custom designed surfboards and full-length Ripcurl wetsuits are provided. Transport from CBD accommodation and meals are included. Over 18's only. Conducted by Surf Camp Australia. Departs on Friday evening near Central Station (meet at 6pm) and returns on Sunday evening at 7pm. Price includes Rip Curl T-Shirt. Consecutive days from start date. No concession.

Surfing - Cronulla Surf School - First Break Club St George & Sutherland Community College

First Break Club is the brainchild of a dedicated group of surfers. They enjoy each others company so much on a Saturday in their weekly lessons they decided it would be fun to continue surfing together without being in a structured lesson. If you have completed your Level 1 and are looking for some surfing buddies at around the same level First Break Club could be just the thing for you. We will run you through general stretching best break to surf surfing for 2 hours followed by the all important weekly debrief and coffee at the Kiosk. A coach will give you pointers on technique and ensure participants are moving forward with their skill development. All equipment supplied or bring your own board.

Surfing - Cronulla Surf School Level 1 St George & Sutherland Community College

A course for the beginner surfer which covers surf conditions safe surfing surfing equipment rules of the surf zone fitness for surfing basic surfing skills basic surfing first aid basic surfing rescue procedures and marine safety. Instruction by Surfing Australia Level 1 coaches. Meet in front of North Cronulla Surf Club between kiosk and surf club at sign "surf school meet here". Use of boards and wetsuits included in cost of course.

Wave selection turning and dismounting responsibilities of the surfer in the surf zone principles of personal safety and surfing rescues fitness training for surfing sun smart behaviour sport-safe behaviour and environmental awareness.
