Advanced Contract Law for Non-Lawyers
This compact 1 day seminar follows on from the cornerstone contracts course, covering areas of exposure in negotiations and contracting, in the areas of: • Managing the contract • Detailed discussion on liability, indemnity, insurance and release clauses • Intellectual property considerations – what is IP? What you can and can’t do with other people’s IP. How to protect IP, identify IP issues, and dealing with them in the contract. • Contract checklist – what to include, and what to watch out for • Using templates of attendees, discussing efficient template use, drafting and using fall back provisions etc • Remedies for contract breach – and tips on contracting with remedies in mind
