Outdoor Training College, OTC, is a division of Above & Below Adventure Company, a private Registered Training Organisation. National Provider No: 90473 OTC specialises in delivering training and workplace assessment for those seeking nationally recognised certification in the Sport & Recreation, Outdoor Recreation and Outdoor Education sectors.
We provide face to face tutorials using the OTC as our base, distance learning resources and the Australian outdoors for specific skills development needed by leaders, guides and instructors.
Our scope:
Certificate II in Sport & Recreation
Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation
Certificate III in Sport & Recreation
Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation
Certificate IV in Sport & Recreation
Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation
Diploma of Outdoor Recreation.
We are currently an Approved Provider for Traineeships in NSW and the Northern Territory and are endorsed to operate in all states and territories within Australia.
OTC offers short courses and a Statement of Attainment for most of the activity areas in Outdoor Recreation.
We have been providing industry training since 1981 and as an RTO since 2000 when the first Outdoor Recreation Industry Training Package was endorsed.


Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation

Two activity areas will be delivered plus: Core & Stream Units of competency (all 9 units must be completed). BSBCMN302A Organise personal work priorities and development. BSBFLM303A. Contribute to effective workplace relationships. ICAITU006C Operate computing packages. SRXFAD002A Provide advanced first aid response. SRXGCSO04A Meet client needs and expectations. SRXGCST03A Process client complaints. SRXINU002A Apply sport and recreation law. SRXOHS001B Follow defined Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures. SRXRIK001A Undertake risk analysis of activities. Stream Units (All 7 must be completed). SROODR002A Plan outdoor recreation activities. SROODR005A Guide outdoor recreation sessions. SROOPS002B Plan for minimal environmental impact. SROOPS003B Apply weather information. SRXEMR001A Respond to emergency situations. SRXGRO001A Facilitate a group. SRXGRO002A Deal with conflict. SIX (6) elective units must also be completed.
