HOLIDAY DRAMA SPORTS WORKSHOP - YOUTH
Many of us have been enthralled and thoroughly entertained by
shows like Thank God You're Here and Whose
Line is It Anyway. An actor’s ability to make up
a play and perform it on the spot is truly impressive.
Point Break Drama Acting School is excited to announce the return
of the very popular Drama Sports program for Youth (9-17yrs),
in the Christmas holidays. This workshop will give kids a strong
grounding in improvisation technique and give kids the opportunity
to develop these skills and perform like their heroes.
Drama sports are taught in all major Drama Schools because they
stretch and extend an actor’s acting ability, and allow
students to have a huge amount of fun. Teacher Paul Winchester
says, “This is by far the most enjoyable and exciting way
to learn acting skills for kids. They always have an awesome time”.
This high-energy course will also be challenging, culminating
in a mock Drama Sports competition on the final day. Teacher Adam
Stewart explains, “We divide kids into teams and they get
to choose a name and captain for their team. Then it’s fun
and games with lots of prizes”.
The course will be held over three afternoons on the 20th, 21st
& 22nd January from 1pm-5pm in Dee Why. The cost of the course
is just $150. Places are limited so please get in early. To enrol
