After twenty-five years of juicing up the cultural life of Victoria, St. Martins in 2008 is a vibrant community of extraordinary young people, interacting with Melbourne’s most dynamic theatre professionals. St. Martins is a small miracle upon the world stage.

A not-for-profit organisation entirely devoted to providing holistic, creative pathways from the age of five through to emerging artists. That’s why we’re still the garden that grows Australia’s most innovative and successful practitioners. From award-winning costume designers to internationally acclaimed actors, playwrights and directors; St. Martins has provided the skills and opportunities to launch thousands of careers.

So no matter what experience you have, if you are between the ages of 5 and 25, love your theatre and want to become part of a buzzing, creative vibe then without a doubt you belong at St. Martins in 2008.

SPECIAL SHAKESPEARE INTENSIVE!

Are you going into VCE next year? Do you simply love acting? Well you will love this...

St Martins is holding a ONE DAY INTENSIVE Shakespeare workshop.
This is an essential guide on how to approach Shakespearean text  for anyone doing VCE drama in 2009. Its also a big leg up for anyone that will be studying any Shakespeare in English or Literature . Or for those who just want to have fun with Shakespeare!

PERFORMER'S INTRO TO LABAN!

Our 13-16 & 17-25 Introduction to Acting workshops for this term will focus on popular acting/movement technique LABAN!
If you are a beginner, this is still a great place to start - as you can expect to take away fundamental exercises exploring the effciency and function of your body, as well as tools to approach creativity, expression and performance.
This workshop is also suited to those who may have a little more experience, but wish to explore ways to better express themselves through their body.

Holiday Program

We are now taking bookings for our January 2009 Holiday program!!

Week one - Januray 12 to 16
Week two - January 19 to 23


These week long workshops are a great way to stay involved with St Martins
outside our regular workshop terms
and also a fantastic place to get involved if you are new to St Martins!
We have holiday workshops for the following age groups:

5-8 years: $180
9-12 years: $250
13-16 years: $250



FREE CLASSES...
2009 also sees the beginning of St Martins at the
NORTHCOTE TOWN HALL!
We will be holding FREE trial classes at this new exciting second venue
during week two of our holiday program, 19th to 23rd January.
