STAT is a series of related tests designed to assess a range of competencies commonly considered important for success in tertiary study. Many tertiary institutions in Australia use STAT results as a part of their admissionsŐ procedure for certain categories of applicants. WEA Illawarra has developed a series of special workshops to help students prepare for the STAT Multiple Choice. Offered as whole day Saturday or Sunday workshops these are aimed to help students develop the skills confidence and strategies to meet the test requirements. The workshops involve group discussion tutor guidance and practice questions. Time management is addressed as well as specific techniques for answering particular types of questions.
