The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability Specialisation) is your first step in opening the door to a challenging and rewarding career in a growing industry. Providing services to elderly people or people with a disability in their own home, residential care facilities, aged care facilities or day care/respite settings, you could find work as a care support worker, personal carer, residential care worker or day care support carer.
To be successful in this course, you will need to be a compassionate and caring person who communicates well. You will have a real desire to work with the elderly or people with a disability in all aspects of their daily living requirements, as well to empower a person to achieve their desired levels of independence, self-confidence and community involvement.
This course is also a great introduction to the Certificate IV in Ageing Support or the Certificate IV in Disability (Medication Included) that will help you further progress your career as a care team leader, care supervisor or care co-ordinator.
