As part of this occupational therapy assistant course, you will complete 120 hours of practical work placement alongside online theory (study anytime from anywhere). This combination of hands-on experience and knowledge-based learning will equip you to step confidently into your first job as an occupational therapy assistant.

This line of work provides new challenges every day – you might be assisting an elderly patient with their fine motor skills one day (e.g. handwriting or using scissors), then helping a child with their organisational skills the next (e.g. packing their backpack).

The HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Occupational Therapy) is a nationally recognised 12-month qualification that will prepare you for a successful career in allied health, ensuring you have the necessary practical skills and theoretical knowledge to work with an occupational therapist.
