As a qualified senior health worker you will positively impact on the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in remote areas. The health care sector is experiencing strong growth, with current research highlighting the merits of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.
Building on your existing skills and knowledge in primary health care, you will gain the specific skill set needed to work in a culturally-competent work place practicing holistic, whole-of-life care. As an advocate for the community you will also be qualified to assess and support clients' social and emotional wellbeing as well as engage in community health research.
With three different study streams to choose from including chronic disease, administration and human resources, or workplace training, this course allows you to specialise in an area you are passionate about.
