Acrylic Painting - Landscapes North West Community College

This is an introductory course using Acrylic Paints and focuses on landscape styles. You will learn about acrylic artists colours, how to mix paints, basic acrylic painting techniques and more. During the program we will look at country scenes, sunsets, bush scenes and sea scapes. A starter Art Pack which includes a paint set, palette, brushes and canvases will be supplied by the tutor at the first lesson for a cost of $40. Any additional supplies needed can be purchased from art stores - tutor will discuss with students during course.

Introduction to Acrylics Karen Frankel Art Studio

These classes are suitable both for the complete art beginner and people who wish to explore a new medium. You will learn about the colour wheel and the mixing of colours as well as using different media with acrylics to create interesting effects. Drawing skills are not required. This is a very forgiving medium that allows you to let your creativity freely out onto the canvas. Basic materials are included in the cost.

Oil & Acrylic Painting Workshop North West Community College

In this workshop you can choose to work with either Oils or Acrylic paints. Learn about colour, composition, tones etc.. to create your painting, and various techniques for brushes or palette knife in either medium. Bring a photo to copy or an idea to work with, stretched canvas, sketchbook pencils and a plastic sheet. For Acrylic painting bring: Matisse or Atylier Acrylic paints, assorted brushes, acrylic Medium for mixing paints, rags and a pallet and table easel. For Oil painting bring: Art Spectrum or Rowney Georgian oil paints, oil Medium for mixing, assorted brushes, pallet knife, rags, turps to wash brushes, a pallet and small table easel. All Items available at art supply stores, approx. basic cost $40.
