Join Richard Brandt is one of our small friendly and relaxed classes and get in touch with your inner clay-worker! Absolute beginners to experienced artists are catered for in our well equipped studio workshop. Learn wheel throwing, sculpture, hand building, mould making or casting. Explore surface decoration, or develop glazes. Personalised tuition is guaranteed with a maximum of six participants in each workshop. Classes are held on Thursdays from 9am to 12pm and 6pm to 9pm. Cost includes tuition,unlimited practice clay, tools, firing, underglazes and glazes. A range of project clay is available at cost price. The Studio is located in a tranquil parkland setting only 200 metres from the Wellington Point Rail Statio

 

Introduction to Pottery Wheel Throwing Something at Mary's

This hands on two day class will introduce you to the basics of throwing clay on a potters wheel. Day one will encompass clay preparation along with throwing techniques including centering & raising. Pieces will be left overnight to dry and day two will focus on creating a polished piece on the wheel incorporating turning techniques.
