Licence to Operate a Tower Crane

Vocational Education and Training

The CPCCLTC4001 Licence to Operate a Tower Crane is based on the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work. It is a legal requirement for anyone operating a jib or boom/jib crane mounted on a tower structure, whether demountable or permanent, including both horizontal and luffing jib types. This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required for safe operation but does not cover self-erecting tower cranes.
