Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings.
It meets the requirements of a ‘senior first aider’ and incorporates hands on CPR demonstrations on both adults and Children.

Entry requirements
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Domestic Students
It is recommended that participants have language, literacy and numeracy competencies equivalent to the Australian Core Skills Framework Level 2. This means that the participant must be able to demonstrate the following:
Reading and writing
Read and comprehend a range of simple texts and write a range of short texts in a number of contexts, which may be inter-related;
Oral communication
Use and respond to language around every day subject matter, which may include some unfamiliar aspects for a range of purposes in a number of contexts, which may be inter-related, including some unfamiliar material;
Numeracy and mathematics
Deal easily with straightforward calculations, either manually and/or using a calculator.
