This course provides the additional training required for holders of a Certificate III in Engineering to obtain the Nationally Recognised Certificate IV in Engineering.
This post trade course has been developed to provide the higher-level skills needed to become a CAD/CAM, CNC Programmer. Participants will gain knowledge of methodologies required for CNC setup and CNC programming skills.
This program includes training and assessment in setting, operation, and programming of CNC Machining Centres & Lathes. The program will equip you with the skills and knowledge for 2D & 3D CAD and CAM required for CNC programming.
Admission to the program is restricted to holders of the appropriate Certificate III in Engineering.

There are no formal academic requirements
Admission requirements are completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 3 - working level 2 to 3, for both literacy and numeracy, applicants must be able to communicate in a professional setting using the English language, Applicants must be physically fit and able to work within an engineering workshop, in specific, be able to lift and move heavy items, use power tools and handheld tools, entrants will have completed any one of the following Cert III in Engineering qualifications, MEM30205, MEM30305, MEM30219, MEM30319, Meet the language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) standards for Certificate IV entry.
