Grow your youth work career into a leadership role
Working with young people and ready to take on more? The CHC50425 Diploma of Youth Work builds on your Certificate IV or youth sector experience. You’ll develop the skills to design and run youth programs, manage cases, respond to young people in crisis, and take on supervisory or coordinator roles in community, government and youth agencies.
At Skills Generation, every enrolment starts with a conversation. Before you sign up, we do a complete run-through with you to understand where you want your career to go and make sure this is the right course to get you there. If a different course would suit your goal better, we’ll tell you. We’ll also help you work out the best financial pathway for you, so you can access the course you need in a way that works for you.
You’ll study online to suit your own schedule, around your work, family and other commitments, with one-on-one Zoom sessions with a trainer who is an experienced youth work practitioner. Most students finish in 1 to 2 years, studying around 10 to 15 hours a week. You’ll also complete 100 hours of work placement. If you already work in a suitable role, you may be able to complete it with your employer.
