Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol
This nationally recognized course is a mandatory requirement for anyone involved in the sale, service, or promotional service of alcohol in licensed premises across Western Australia. It equips hospitality workers—including bartenders, glass collectors, floor staff, and security personnel—with the essential skills to serve alcohol responsibly and meet legal obligations under the
Liquor Control Act 1988. The curriculum covers identifying intoxicated patrons, refusing service professionally, preventing underage drinking, and understanding harm minimization strategies. To achieve competency, students must successfully complete online knowledge assessments and a verbal assessment (conducted via telephone) to verify their identity and practical understanding of the course material.
