This nationally recognised short course is designed to provide you with the underpinning knowledge and skills you need to safely operate a boom type elevated work platform (11 metres or more in boom length).
This two-day short course will equip you with the ability to perform pre-operation checks, and how to set up, operate and shutdown elevated work platforms, as well as learn about site job planning.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit completed, and be able to apply for National High Risk Work Licence – WP through WorkSafe Tasmania. The licence is valid for five years.

There are no formal academic requirements
Participants must be from 18 years of age and comply with the requirements outlined in the application for high-risk work (GF083) published by Workplace Standards Tasmania and have a satisfactory level of literacy and numeracy.
