This course covers the mandatory work health and safety (WHS) training required prior
to undertaking construction work or entering a construction work site.
It includes:
- personal awareness and knowledge of WHS legislative requirements
- working safely to prevent injury or harm to self and others
- identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards
- understanding basic risk control measures
- identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies
- selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.
