University of Tasmania
Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Laws
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationThe double degree of Economics and Law combines a broad and highly complementary skill set that opens doors to a wide range of careers including law, business, and government. Economics studies how markets work, and the law provides the rules that govern those markets. Economic principles can explain why companies operate in a certain way and laws show how this can guide their behaviour.
By studying both degrees you develop the ability to evaluate legal policies through an economic lens. You can study what interests you—combine subjects like behavioural economics & international law, natural resource economics & legal ethics, or international economics and corporation law.
