Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) If you are not quite ready for work but interested in learning skills valued by employers in the workplace such as independence, team work, communication, recreation and social skills and you are a person with an intellectual disability, autism or cognitive impairment, Melbourne Polytechnic’s Certificate I in Transition Education 22567VIC is for you. You will explore and participate in work and community activities. The skills you’ll learn will depend on your goals and abilities and include using public transport, using technology safely, social skills, reading and writing, budgeting, basic cooking, recreation and health, creative media, dance and movement and exploring future options. Your self-esteem and confidence will grow as your interpersonal skills improve, and you’ll find independence and active participation in the community much easier.Delivery mode

Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
To apply you will need:
- a Work Education program application for interview form
- to have an interview
- to be at least 16 years old
- support of family/advocate
Applicants for this program will have a disability, e.g. Intellectual Disability, Autism, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
