Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Do you enjoy helping others feel happier and more connected? The Certificate IV in Leisure and Health might be perfect for you.
This course prepares you to design, plan, and deliver leisure and health activities. These activities aim to improve the well-being of individuals in care. You may work in aged care homes, community centres, or day programs.
You’ll learn how to support people through creative and fun activities. For example, you might organise games, art sessions, group outings, or gentle exercises. These programs promote social connection, mental health, and physical wellness.
In addition, you’ll gain skills in planning, teamwork, and communication. You will also learn how to evaluate each activity’s impact on clients.
To complete the qualification, you must do at least 120 hours of work placement. This hands-on training gives you practical experience and boosts your confidence.
Because of this experience, you’ll be well prepared for real-world roles. You’ll work under supervision or independently, depending on the setting. As a result, you’ll bring joy, purpose, and engagement to the lives of those you support.
This course also opens doors to a range of career paths. For example, you can work in aged care, disability services, or mental health programs.
In short, if you’re ready to make a real difference every day, this course is for you.
