Conduct Manual Tasks Safely

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to recognise potentially hazardous manual task, and then to prepare for and complete those tasks in a safe manner.

Our course is specifically designed for support workers and nursing students working within the ageing and disability sectors giving you the knowledge and skills for the safe mobilisation of clients.

This course covers the below aspects:

  • Identify manual tasks involving risk
  • Prepare for manual tasks
  • Complete manual tasks
  • Contribute to safe work practices

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.
Participants must be physically capable to use appropriate equipment, posture and handling techniques to conduct a manual move and/or lift. Additional requirements may apply.
