This nationally recognised qualification prepares you to plan, implement and manage high-quality programs in early childhood settings while supporting both children and fellow educators.
Although the Certificate III is the minimum requirement for most early childhood educator roles, many services look for Diploma-qualified educators to take on senior positions. Gaining your Diploma can open pathways to roles such as lead educator, room leader or program coordinator, and can help meet staffing requirements within early learning services.
Throughout this course, you will learn how to create enriching learning environments, uphold duty of care requirements and guide practice within your team. The Diploma will equip you to mentor others, contribute to curriculum planning and play a key role in the overall quality and culture of an early childhood service.

- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Students will be required to complete and pass a Working With Vulnerable People Check (including a national police check) in the state or territory that they are working in prior to commencing work in this field.
Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold a:
- CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
OR - CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
