Diploma of Work Health and Safety
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification reflects the role of individuals coordinating and maintaining the work health and safety (WHS) program in an organisation. The qualification reflects the requirements of supervisors and managers who have a substantial knowledge base and well-developed skills in a wide variety of WHS contexts and industries.
Under Australian WHS laws, all organisations have to ensure that they put the health and safety of their people first. It is in fact a legal responsibility to manage the health and safety requirements of a workplace. This qualification provides you with the skills you need to manage the health and safety of everyone in the organisation as well as customers, visitors and suppliers. WHS is critical to the long-term success of a business as it ultimately improves staff productivity, reduces injury and illness in the workplace and also reduces the costs of workers’ compensation.
