Prevent, Control and Fight Fires on Board a Vessel (Advanced Firefighting)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course covers the requirements of the 1995 STCW Reg VI/3, Convention Chapter VI, Code Section A-VI/3 and Table A-VI/3.
On meeting the minimum standard of competence in advanced fire-fighting, you will be:
- competent to take command, organise and train fire parties and control fire-fighting operations;
- have the acquired knowledge of fire prevention and an ability to inspect and service fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment; and
- will also be able to investigate and report on incidents involving fire.
