Marine Engine Driver careers

A Marine Engine Driver is responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring the mechanical and electrical systems on small commercial vessels, such as fishing boats, ferries, and charter boats. Their duties include starting and shutting down engines, checking fuel and oil levels, performing basic repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Marine Engine Drivers work closely with other crew members and must be able to respond quickly to mechanical issues while at sea. Depending on the class of license held (Grade 1, 2, or 3), they may operate different sizes and types of vessels with varying engine power limits.
