More information
Nurse Educators are qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) who mentor and train student nurses as well as working nurses who are undergoing professional development training. They deliver training on-the-job in hospitals, medical centres and nursing clinics as well as in formal education settings like universities and colleges.
As a Nurse Educator you could be preparing a lesson plan and determining a suitable assessment process, demonstrating how to clean a wound and change a dressing to a group of trainees, observing a student nurse as they record the core vital signs of a patient, marking a written assignment and providing feedback, or updating student records in the training database.
