General English - Starter to Elementary
The General English courses are designed for international students (i.e. student visa, working holiday visa or tourism visa holders) and holders of other temporary visas who wish to improve their English. Students will be able to cope with texts of several sentences if the language and theme is simple and familiar. They will be able to identify relevant details with little inferential skill. Students will produce a string of short sentences on a simple theme and will have the ability to pick up simple details. By completion of this level students will have the structures and vocabulary for some simple or rehearsed situations. They will be able to manage one or two sentences at a time.
