The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support offers diverse career opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the community. Whether supporting individuals living at home or in care, this qualification focuses on Disability, Ageing, and Home and Community care. Gain the essential skills to provide outstanding support for people with disabilities and become part of the journey toward building a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.
There are tasks that must be completed in both a simulated environment and the workplace. Specifically, learners are required to:
- Provide personal support to people with individualised plans, using aids and equipment, including devices used by the person, to undertake each of the following in the workplace on three occasions.
- Simulation must occur prior to being assessed in the workplace, as described in the assessment conditions. This ensures learners are adequately prepared through simulation before applying their skills in a real-world workplace setting.
