Nationally Recognised Higher EducationIn a Bachelor of Actuarial Science you will learn to apply mathematical concepts to real-life scenarios, and use your analytical skills to help companies plan for the future. As you further develop your maths and analytical skills, you will start to use a range of concepts and data findings to solve real commercial problems.
If you are big on numbers and the role they play in our day-to-day lives, actuarial science could help you turn your curiosity into a promising commercial career. Actuaries play major roles in a range of organisations - in insurance, superannuation, business and financial services, scientific and social research, and engineering.

Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Subject prerequisites
VCE Units 3 & 4: a study score of at least 27 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL
VCE Units 3 & 4: a study score of at least 25 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics
IB subjects: At least 4 in English SL or 3 in English HL or 5 in English B SL or 4 in English B HL
IB subjects: At least 4 in Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches SL or 3 in Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches HL or 3 in Mathematics: Applications and Interpretations HL
VET Study or Higher education
Applicants will require a minimum of 70% average to be considered for selection.
Work and life experience
Applicants who have successfully completed Year 12 are eligible to apply for this course.
