Entry Requirements

You must meet ONE of the following requirements:

Completed Year 12 (ATAR optional) with ATAR score 55.00 or equivalent.

Academic entry requirements

  • Minimum ATAR requirements (including adjustment factors) OR
  • Successful completion of two university-level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies OR
  • A completed AQF Certificate III or higher level qualification OR 50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification OR
  • Successful completion of a Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies. OR
  • Two years full time (or equivalent) work experience that meets the following requirement: the ability to demonstrate the development of literacy, analytical skills, and social-historical knowledge

Language requirement

You can normally meet the English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements for entry to most Charles Sturt University courses by doing one of the following:

  1. providing evidence of having completed a sufficient standard of study in English
  2. for undergraduate courses have obtained an Academic IELTS within the last 2 years with:
    • a minimum overall score of 6.0
    • no individual score below 5.5
  3. for postgraduate coursework courses have obtained an Academic IELTS within the last 2 years with:
    • a minimum overall score of 6.0
    • no individual score below 6.0
  4. for higher degree by research courses have obtained at Academic IELTS within the last 2 years with:
    • a minimum overall score of 6.5
    • no individual score below 6.0
