Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care prepares you for a rewarding career in the growing child care and early learning sector. With demand for qualified educators on the rise, this nationally recognised course equips you with the knowledge and practical skills needed to support children’s wellbeing, learning, and development.
Across 15 units, you’ll learn how to create meaningful early education programs, foster positive environments, and guide children through their formative years. This qualification is an important step toward becoming a valued early childhood educator and making a lasting difference in the lives of young learners.

Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Apex Training Institute may require a language and literacy assessment during the application process - If working or completing work placement in an organisation that has children within Queensland, students will require a Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required to be provided within 14 days of enrolment at Apex*
- A Federal Police Check showing no criminal record

- QLD Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the QLD Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
Self-Funded Fees: $1,686 to $2,507
Government-Funded Fees: $9 to $17
This certification course is eligible for the Career Start Program.
Government Funding Program Requirements:
To be eligible, you must:
- be aged 15 years or older, and no longer in school
- permanently live in Queensland
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with an eligible visa subclass
- not already have a certificate III or higher qualification completed within the last 10 years (qualifications completed as a school student, and foundation skills qualifications don't count)
- not be enrolled in another qualification, even if it's on hold or deferred, whether funded by us (Department of Trade, Employment and Training) or not (foundation skills qualification don't count).
