The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) gives you the hands-on skills and real-world knowledge to support people in aged care, disability services, and community settings. You’ll help others live with dignity, independence, and a little more joy every single day.

This program prepares you to provide compassionate, person-centred care to older individuals or people with disabilities. You’ll develop practical skills in supporting daily living, maintaining client wellbeing, and working safely in residential, community, or home care settings.

With this qualification, you’ll learn how to:

Deliver individualised support aligned with care plans
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and health professionals
Support independence and quality of life for ageing and disabled clients
Follow safe work practices, including infection prevention and control

Duration: Up to 12 months

Study Load:

15 course units to complete
Complete one course unit approximately every 3.5 weeks to graduate in 12 months

Work Placement

You’ll be required to complete 120 hours of mandatory work placement in a suitable workplace, performing tasks under the direction of a qualified workplace supervisor.

Pre-screening
The completion of a Pre-screening Activity will be conducted for all potential students prior to their enrolment in any training for this targeted cohort.

To enrol, you will need to be a permanent Australianresident (or equivalent) or have the right to study inAustralia other than a Student Visa.
