CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support
Certificate III in Individual Support is a combination of the Certificate IIIs in Aged Care, Disability and Home and Community Care. The Certificate III in Individual Support is designed for students wishing to gain a rewarding career as a personal care worker. Enrolling in the Certificate III in Individual Support will equip you with the necessary knowledge, skills and practical experience to work within in a residential aged care facility, disability or home and community care.
Due to Australia’s growing population, it has never been a better time to consider a career in individual support. It is anticipated that by November 2022, the number of job openings for aged cares will be greater than 50,000.
The Certificate III in Individual Support reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred care to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or another reason. Work involves using discretion in relation to individual support, as well as taking responsibility for own outputs. Workers have factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
Whether you are an existing worker or new entrant to the sector, the flexibility of Health Industry Training’s individual support course will allow you to study at your own pace, based on your individual experiences and learning support.
