Certificate IV in Ageing Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Ageing support workers work with people from vastly different cultural and social backgrounds, including mothers, fathers, grandparents and great grandparents who need support from others to live with care or in care facilities.
Ageing Support workers:
- support the elderly at home and in regulated care services
- plan support activities to enhance socialisation, good mental health and physical condition of residents and clients
- set up indoor and outdoor activities and entertainment
- support residents and clients exercise their mental agility

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
Students must complete a Pre-Training Review, meet the Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) skill standards, for Certificate IV level study and demonstrate that they are a suitable candidate for this course.
