Event Director

An Event Director oversees the overall development of a range of special events. You might work for an event organisation company or lead the events planning team at your workplace. Event Directors work with stakeholders to plan the overall direction of an event and coordinate details such as venue hire, catering, promotion and entertainment. You might address any issues that arise and will supervise your team of event planners.

Event Directors should be creative and have strong communication skills. It’s important that you are organised and can handle several tasks at one time. You’ll need to be a strong leader and work well in a team environment. Event Directors should be good problem solvers and be able to work to a deadline.
