Event Planner

An Event Planner organises events for a range of industries. You might coordinate community events, arrange conferences for work groups or organise expos for special interest groups. Event Planners meet with clients to discuss their needs and liaise with suppliers to arrange venues, catering and other details such as transport or staffing. You might advertise events, organise registrations and book stall holders.

Event Planners should be organised and have strong time management skills. Communication skills are important and you must be able to work with people from a range of backgrounds. Event Planners must be able to manage budgets and lead a team of staff. You should have good problem solving abilities and must be able to multitask.
