Certificate II in Transport Security Protection

The Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (AVI20118) is the minimum qualification for screening and examination officers at airports, maritime and cargo ports in Australia. Over 6 months of part-time study (including a 10 day on-campus intensive) you will learn how to undertake a physical search of cargo and luggage — identifying (and handling) weapons, explosives, and prohibited items. The course offers the following elective specialisations: air cargo examination, domestic airport screening, international airport screening, and maritime screening.
