TLILIC2015

Medium Rigid (MR) Licence Training

This licence allows you to drive a truck, bus or any other two-axle rigid vehicle—truck or bus—weighing more than 8 tonnes GVM. One-on-one courses for beginners take 8 hours. The advanced driver’s course, which requires previous experience, takes 6 hours. Candidates have the option of receiving a statement of attainment with a nationally recognised unit of competency from the TLI training package. At the completion of the course, successful trainees will be issued with their Victorian Medium Rigid licence and, if selected, their statement of attainment.

This course delivers the skills and knowledge required to obtain a Victorian licence to drive a Light, Medium or Heavy Rigid Vehicle. It includes systematically and efficiently controlling all vehicle functions, monitoring traffic and road conditions, managing vehicle condition and performance, and effectively managing hazardous situations.
