Help businesses exploit the opportunities of new and existing technologies with UniSQ’s Bachelor of Business (Information System Management). If you know you want a career in IT but don’t want to narrow your focus too early, the Information Systems Management major is ideal. You will gain a broad range of skills with the aim of helping you become a versatile and adaptable employee, equally adept at addressing both technical and business issues.
Gain significant analysis and design experience in the business context, while also developing an understanding of the broader architecture of information systems and the principles of modern software engineering practice.
Work alongside industry partners on real-world issues through a variety of authentic case studies as well as a capstone project in your final year. Select a second business major to diversify your knowledge or tailor your career path with a combination of minors and electives. Graduate in just two years with our accelerated pathway from 2024. You can study four courses per trimester consecutively and graduate sooner. UniSQ’s flexible delivery also offer part-time, online or on-campus options for you to study on your terms.

You must meet ONE of the following requirements:
Completed Year 12 (ATAR optional) with ATAR score 60.00 or equivalent.
Pre-requisites
To study this degree we assume you have sound knowledge in:
- English (Units 3 & 4, C), and
- General Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C)
We assume that your knowledge is equivalent to a grade C or higher in Units 3 and 4 at high school level (typically studied in Year 12).
Tafe (VET) qualification
As a TAFE or VET graduate, you can use your Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) awards of certificate III, certificate IV, diploma or advanced diploma to submit an application to study with UniSQ.
We convert your TAFE or VET qualification and results along with your past school results and work experience (if applicable) into a selection rank. It is this selection rank that determines which degrees you may meet the entry requirements for.
Work and life experience
You don't need to have an OP/ATAR or be straight from high school to study at uni. We can convert you work experience, qualifications or high school studies into a selection rank you can use to apply for your chosen degree.
English language requirements
You are required to satisfy the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. If you do not meet the English language requirements you may apply to study a University-approved English language program.
Recognition of prior learning or work experience
You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
