The Basic Scaffolding course provides participants with the foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary to safely and effectively erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding structures. The course covers a range of scaffolding techniques and equipment commonly used in construction and maintenance projects such as erecting, altering and dismantling scaffolding, cantilevered material hoists, modular or prefabricated scaffolds, static lines, bracket scaffolds (tank and formwork), ropes, gin wheels and safety nets.
On successful completion of the Basic Scaffolding course, participants will be eligible to obtain an SB High-Risk Work Licence class, allowing them to perform scaffolding work at a basic level in compliance with regulatory requirements. The course emphasises practical hands-on training, safety awareness, and adherence to industry best practices to ensure that participants can safely and competently carry out scaffolding tasks in various work environments.
