You must meet ALL of the following requirements:
IELTS score of 6.50 or TOEFL iBT score of 79.00 or PTE score of 58.00 or its equivalent.
Applicants must have one of the following:
• Completed Australian master’s or doctoral degree, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology or Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Technology
OR
• Completed Australian bachelor's degree, graduate diploma, or graduate certificate, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology or Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Technology with more than 75% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included)
OR
• Completed Australian bachelor's degree, graduate diploma, or graduate certificate, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology with more than 70% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included) AND A minimum of 2 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant post-secondary professional experience AND An interest in the course and demonstrated understanding of the opportunities present in Cybersecurity
OR
• Completed Australian associate degree, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology with more than 75% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included) AND A minimum of 2 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant post-secondary professional experience AND An interest in the course and demonstrated understanding of the opportunities present in Cybersecurity
OR
• Completed Australian advanced diploma, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology AND A minimum of 2 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant post-secondary professional experience AND An interest in the course and demonstrated understanding of the opportunities present in Cybersecurity.
Applicants who do not meet the criteria above should consider applying for C04295 Master of Information Technology (with Cybersecurity major), C11142 Graduate Certificate in Information Technology (with Cybersecurity specialisation), or C11247 Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Studies.
The general requirement for admission to postgraduate coursework study at UTS is an Australian bachelor's degree or overseas equivalent.
However, for some courses other qualifications and experience may be considered, including:
- graduate certificates, graduate diplomas or a TAFE diploma
- substantial work experience, substantiated with letters from employers
Applicants must also meet the English language proficiency requirements to be eligible for an offer to study at UTS.
If you have previously studied in English, you satisfy the UTS English if one of the options below are applicable to you.
- I have an assessable qualification undertaken in English.
- I have completed a course taught in English.
- I have completed another acceptable qualification or program in English.
