If you can picture yourself working with festivals and touring companies, managing venues or dream of booking and managing artists - then this is the course for you.

Over two years (six semesters) you will develop a deep understanding of business operations within the music industry, and gain hands-on experience in bringing live entertainment events from concept to execution. The Live Music-focused Associate Degree of Arts and Entertainment Management has been co-developed with industry experts and is delivered in partnership with the Australian Institute of Music, to ensure an excellent education experience that is truly aligned to today's live music industry.

We emphasise dedicated mentorship with our industry experienced instructors, providing the unique insights and in-demand skills necessary to thrive in a range of areas across the live music industry when you graduate.

Entry Requirements

If you are under 21 years old, you must have completed one of the following:

  • An Australian senior secondary year 12 certificate in the last two years (such as VCE or HSC), including the minimum English language requirements
  • An International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma qualification in the past two years
  • An AQF VET qualification (Certificate IV and above)
  • At least six months full-time tertiary study (AQF Level 5 or higher).

Applicants who are under 21 years old and achieved an ATAR of 60.00 or higher are eligible for direct entry into the course.

If you are over 21 years old or have not achieved an ATAR of 60.00 or higher, you must provide a portfolio including a CV and cover letter. Your portfolio may also include:

  • School reports
  • Awards and certificates.
