ACM20221 Certificate II in Horse Care

Would you like a course with solid foundations in horse care and safety with chosen electives? Depending on your chosen career, electives could be on horse care, stud work, administration, instructor or trail riding. If you already have experience with horses and would like to work towards your chosen career, talk to us about your options.

This course about foundation horse skills has been designed for full time study, over 34 weeks (40 weeks including holidays).

However, it could take less time if you already have previous experience with horses or plan to study for more than 23 hours per week plan to study full time. Simply let us know if you would like to ‘fast track’ your course!

Entry Requirements

To be accepted into this course, you should be:

  • an experienced horse person (or complete our recommended Foundation course)
  • at least fourteen (14) years of age to commence this course
  • completed equivalent to Year 9 (Queensland Education) OR equivalent to ten years full-time study in the English language OR equivalent to twelve years full-time study in another language (with excellent reading, writing, speaking and listening English language skills and previous qualifications or extensive experience with horses).
