CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously.

The qualification is an approved course for entry into the early childhood education industry (Refer: Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) www.acecqa.gov.au

The course covers:

  • Understanding childhood development
  • The theory and practice of educational programming to meet development needs
  • The theory and practice of professional care giving
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Ethics, the law and quality standards in early childhood development, and
  • 160 hours of work placement (which GBCA will organise for you)

Students completing this course will gain credit transfer of up to 13 units in the CHC50113 – Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care offered by GBCA.
