Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)

Gain valuable knowledge and skills as a support worker in the disability sector, to foster independence and community access for people with disability. Learn how to provide daily supports, dignity and choice for the people you support.
Contains 15 Units of Competency, including 9 core and 6 elective units.
Duration: 12 months (1 day study per week + 1 day work experience per week)

Work Placement
120 hoursYou will attend 43 virtual sessions, and 8 onsite sessions at our training facility in Bentley (75-79 Jarrah Road).
Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
This qualification requires 120 hours of logged work placement (on the job experience to practice your skills).
Students must commit to complete a minimum of 5.5 hours work placement per week (in addition to classroom training). Pathways will assist students in finding work placements (day/s of placement will be subject to availability). Students are able to seek their own work placement if preferred.
You will require intermediate computer skills such as internet browsing, email, word processing, and presentation software.

- WA Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the WA Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
Funding eligibility conditions apply – students must be an AU/NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident OR be on an eligible VISA (eg. International Visa 500 not eligible)
